Job Description

Reporting into the Director, Paid Search, as a Sr. Manager, Paid Search, you will function in strategic & people-manager role on a team for one of dentsu clients. You will be the go-to Paid Search expert, lead daily client communication, cultivate & train junior talent, and act as the central hub of collaboration across departments including senior level colleagues at dentsu and senior level business leaders at your client. You will play a key role on an award-winning Paid Search team by developing strategies and bringing them to life through tactical planning to meet your client's paid search & marketing goals. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide paid search program for an enterprise-level client 
  • Be the main contact for your client, third-party vendors, and internal departments for matters involving paid search. 
  • Develop and execute market strategies for Paid Search campaigns across an array of Google & Microsoft properties and campaign types, including but not limited to text, shopping, multi-media campaigns, app with the ability to develop strategic roadmaps, test plans, risk/benefit analysis, and analyzing results to develop actionable insights. 
  • Translate objectives from your client into strategy and tactics for paid search campaigns. 
  • Manage daily campaign activities for paid search, including: bid management, budget allocation, forecasting, performance monitoring, strategic testing, and campaign expansion. 
  • Ensure highest level of quality assurance and flawless execution. 
  • Employ analytical reasoning, data analysis, resourceful, and problem solving skills 
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and professional communication skills by developing and delivering client-facing materials, such as presentations, Point of Views, business cases, and performance reports. 
  • Work with client teams to identify and understand business needs, campaign performance objectives, and opportunities to grow the relationship. 
  • Provide management and coaching of SEM Analysts - communicating task execution and timeline requirements, strategic guidance, and constructive feedback to aid in their growth. Manage performance evaluations and feedback.  
  • Monitor and shares industry news, online marketing trends, industry tools, and internal cross-team insights 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Search Engine Marketing (SEM)/Pay-Per-Click (PPC)/Paid Search experience, preferably on the Agency side in the to e-Retail/CPG space 
  • Strong foundational experience in Google Ads, Bing Ads, SA360, Apple Search Ads 
  • Ability to use an array of inputs to make strategic recommendations 
  • Professional presence, dependable behavior, strong communication skills with ability prioritize internal & external deliverables and navigate a fast-pace account 
  • Data analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and devise strategic recommendations based on findings 
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong project management skills and experience working on a large team with an array of workstreams & deliverables. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills: shortcuts, pivot tables, vlookups, data visualization, charts, reporting capabilities, bulksheet creation, etc.  
  • Experience working on an integrated media account, partnering with Analytic team 
  • Growth-oriented mindset with the desire to work on a high-performance media team with the goal of becoming an exceptional people-manager & strategic marketing leader 
  • B.A./B.S. required

The anticipated salary range for this position is  $59,000-$92,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
