The Manager, Advanced Analytics works closely with clients and internal planning teams to ensure that the success of online efforts is properly accounted for.   As part of the Advanced Analytics Group, the Manager, Advanced Analytics helps to measure the performance of online campaigns, illustrates clients’ return on investment, and provides insights into improving performance. He/she utilizes various measurement tools and provides timely in-depth reporting, analysis and optimizing solutions.  The Manager, Advanced Analytics is expected to be an active participant on the business, consistently engaged and contributing ideas and insights that will benefit our clients. 

Job Description

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

 

Advanced Analytics and Execution: 

  • Partners with the digital planning team to create an appropriate measurement strategy for each campaign  
  • Creates and presents measurement/testing strategies and analyses
  • Utilizes proprietary tools and third party ad serving technologies to report and analyze clients’ post analysis data 
  • Observes, evaluates trends of digital campaigns and provides recommendations for optimizing 
  • Manages the daily responsibilities of data querying and analyzing data for multiple accounts 
  • Ensures that quality and timeliness of measurement deliverables meet client expectations  
  • Aids in the creation of client media objectives and strategies  
  • Identify opportunities and solutions for process efficiency

 

Client  Relationships: 

  • Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations of internal and external clients and deliverables; manage client through to deadlines
  • Keeps up with the latest trends in measurement techniques
  • Responsible for informing team/client of new opportunities, issues or vendor offerings 
  • Participates and leads, if appropriate, face-to-face client and vendor meetings 
  • Builds positive relationships with internal and external teams and sets good example for analyst level 

 

Strategic Thinking & Leadership: 

  • Assess problems and concerns in a systematic, logical and rational manner and communicate accordingly
  • Works closely with Analytics Director, with frequent communication but high autonomy
  • Proactively resolve issues, know when to and to whom to escalate 
  • Provide guidance to team members, nurture/promote team environment 
  • Respond appropriately when presented with problems and issues 
  • Assist in the training of junior team members 
  • Capable of managing multiple deliverables and ability to seamlessly transition among them 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics or related quantitative field, required
  • 2-4  years’ experience in analytics 
  • Must be able to demonstrate data interpretation capabilities  
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and intermediate knowledge of Python or R
  • Knowledge of the media planning processes a plus 
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills  
  • Hands on experience with third party tracking and reporting tools such as Google Suite of Tools (DoubleClick), Google Analytics, Social Platforms is preferred
  • Proven experience creating succinct, informative dashboards/reports in popular BI platforms (Looker Studio, Tableau)
  • Comfort  working with large relational data sets 
  • Clear understanding of common modeling techniques and measurement methodologies

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $68-90K.  Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company’s incentive compensation plan is subject to change. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
