MKTG Canada, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network, is a global lifestyle marketing agency – comprised of pioneers and practitioners of sponsorship consulting and live branded experiences across the world of sports, entertainment, arts and cause is seeking a Associate Strategic Planner to join our Strategy Team. 

 

You will work across MKTG’s client roster, helping develop strategies that help our clients to achieve their goals via sponsorship and brand activation. You will also support in the development of the agency's social media content and thought leadership.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • 70% Time – Strategy Consulting

o Supports and participates in crafting strategic deliverables for sponsorship and experiential marketing initiatives

o A strong writer, can distill complex information into simple yet intelligent stories and deliver it in an engaging manner

o Has an understanding of what makes brands impactful in culture, the consumer and the marketplace

o Consistently executes the research, conception, and support of strategy activities and deliverables

o Participates in a collaborative work environment within the agency and partners in which ideas flourish

o Finds opportunities to make the work better. Show initiative in attacking assignments

  • 30% Time – Agency Operations 

o Helps drive the development of agency social media content, through concepting and writing post copy

o Supports on business development process + thought leadership

o Helps build and present decks for internal teams

Qualifications

  • 1 or more years work experience

  • Experience in a Strategic Planning or Content Development role is considered an asset

  • Candidates must demonstrate understanding of core marketing concepts

  • Passionate about marketing and communications

  • Ability to write in concise and impactful ways

  • Excellent at summarising and making complex information accessible

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Communications preferred

  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be asked to participate in a case study interview process
