Job Description

The Web Optimization Developer will develop variations of the webpages for A/B tests and targeted marketing campaigns using CSS/HTML & pure JavaScript, primarily on top of React SPA and will provide technical and hands on consulting to support the client’s website and app marketing initiatives, support on testing methods, processes and services across the organization and evangelize a Test & Learn agenda within the group and on assigned accounts. This role participates in creating and articulating relevant analytics and developing test ideas for clients, while developing better methods or processes for implementation. Leverages expert-level knowledge of Adobe Target architecture to provide technical suggestions or guidance to teams.

Perform tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Work with clients and internal team members to structure and execute disciplined tests
  • Track and manage all current and future tests and participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss timelines
  • Work with key stakeholders both internal and external to advance Merkle’s testing capabilities.
  • Identify and execute process improvement strategies to further enhance and streamline our test & learn capabilities.
  • Develop competencies in omnichannel experimentation.
  • Work with Merkle test mangers to vet suggested test and project plans, program plans, contribute to overall roadmap, manage individual/team day-to-day tasks, meet project deadlines.
  • Contribute innovation, process improvement, standardization
  • Deliver high-quality analytical solutions on time

Qualifications

  • Experience with front end coding, debugging, problem solving, working with other developers and bridging conversations with non-technical resources
  • Strong experience with HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript
  • Expert understanding of Single Page Applications (SPAs)
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Preference for Adobe Analytics and other Adobe Marketing Cloud skills
  • Possess core marketing skills and an understanding of digital marketing data including the systems and processes used to generate and manipulate it by media types like web
  • Possess client/team engagement competencies such as gather specifications, approach and manage expectations, and coordinate delivery with internal team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in test & learn marketing arena, including strong understanding of website optimization, website analytics and other digital marketing concept beyond the website like display, search, and social etc...

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with website testing required (expert knowledge of Adobe Target preferred, Optimizely, Maxymizer, Google Optimize, etc...
  • Understanding around Targeting, knowledge of DMPs/CDPs
  • Good understanding of browser network calls, cookies, and local storage
  • You have a keen eye and ability to identify areas for process improvement, do independent research, develop innovative approaches or processes/codes to 1) improve client business results, 2) improve efficiencies, 3) reduce potential errors will help create a more efficient and productive organization.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
