Job Description

  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. No sponsorship or work transfers are available for this position

We are looking for a highly effective Platform Architect to join our team. An individual filling this role as the Architect is a unique hybrid of business and technical consultant with the ability to operate as a digital tech lead focusing on the leading marketing cloud solutions from Adobe and Salesforce. Working on the of architectural solutions this person is part of the successful onboarding and overall technological direction for those clients and works as a liaison between the marketers, operations, and analytics teams to design and deliver high quality, scalable technical solutions. The successful candidate will be able to display technical prowess, and the ability to work within cross-division, cross-functional teams from project inception to completion.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drives business, marketing, functional and technical requirements to create and present comprehensive and scalable solutions to technical and business stakeholders with initial focus on Consumer Data Platform (CDP)
  • Ensures alignment of business requirements with Merkle standards and policies, and with industry best practices.
  • Drives adoption of technology platform through demonstrating technical prowess and practical applications as you scope and drive sound, scalable architectural solutions that deliver measurable, relevant digital experiences at scale
  • Works with and/or implements data integrations in support of Client customer use cases and journeys
  • Proactively identifies and resolves issues related to overall platform performance from data ingestion to data distribution.
  • Architects data feeds, platform configuration, and components needed to run complex automated marketing journeys.
  • Works with SMEs from individual platform components to ensure proper product configuration and operation.
  • Stays abreast of industry technology innovations, new business practices, and third-party technology solutions.
  • Help us continuously improve by identifying, creating, and enhancing internal systems and processes based on recurring client requests or evolving industry standards.
  • Leverages thought leadership to highlight previous successful deliverables to clients.
  • Be a trusted business advisor to clients to drive revenue and maximize client lifetime value. You will add value to your clients and prospects by being a subject matter expert in our core solutions and offerings.
  • Collaborate and share best practices, lessons learned and technical improvement opportunities within the wider business community.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform: (any of RT-CDP, AJO, CJA)
  • Experience working in an agency or consulting company across multiple industries.
  • Self-Directed Autonomous Thinker:  Experience leading practices and working in a large, fast-paced environment working with tight deadlines and multiple priorities with limited guidance.
  • Proactive. Keeping current on market tends ever-shifting industry.
  • Strategic thinker comfortable challenging clients and managing their expectations.  
  • Successful experience collaborating on large, complex deals and leading teams.
  • Personal technical credibility, through direct experience of leading and inspiring teams (directly or indirectly) on key technologies and best practices 
  • Experience with activation platforms and concepts (e.g. CMS, DAM, ad serving)
  • Solid understanding of data security/privacy best practices

Solid understanding of:

  • Software development and agile delivery
  • Platform architecture with focus on data ingress and egress
  • XDM & Mix-Ins (for data modelling)
  • Relational database concepts, with exposure to SQL
  • Data management, segmentation, ETL best practices
  • Scripting and query development
  • Data processing – API, Batch.  Specifically – using tools such as Swagger to build and present data relationships across solutions

The anticipated salary range for this position is $113,000-$182,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
