Job Description

We are seeking a self-starter, detail-oriented Internal Communications Manager, Culture & Events to help develop and execute our internal comms strategies—to keep our employees informed, and act as a partner to our executives and teams across dentsu Americas. This individual must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong project management capabilities, and a high “do to say” ratio. As part of the corporate marketing & communications team, the ideal candidate will have experience planning and executing internal initiatives, building employee engagement strategies, and collaborating with different teams across the network to create a communications system focused on culture-building.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain communications campaigns and strategies that will help further build employee pride and engagement
  • Support Culture and brand messaging
  • Support change communications for company transformation programs
  • Help manage and maintain intranet, newsletters, office digital programming and more
  • Support strategy and cadence for employee all-hands, staff meetings, executive meetings and other internal events
  • Partner with the other members of the Marketing & Communications team to align internal strategy with external strategy
  • Continuously improve communications effectiveness by finding innovative ways to engage employees
  • Collaborate with the different teams across the organization on communications around company culture, employee recognition, DE&I training & programs, L&D initiatives, benefits and more
  • Continuously improve communications effectiveness through measurement and insights
  • Experience working on complex people and culture issues.
  • Help establish and maintain best practices, policies, procedures, and tools to improve team organization and effectiveness, e.g., editorial calendar, templates, comms best practices, etc.
  • Regularly contribute to and help manage content distribution across key channels, e.g., the company intranet, newsletters, Teams, email, etc.
  • Work with different teams from inception/design of new programs through launch, providing a client-focused lens on all communications
  • Oversee the creation of communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organization's brand
  • Advise senior leadership and executives on communications campaigns and strategies

Qualifications

  • You have excellent people skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a similar focus
  • 5+ years of related work experience in internal communications, in a corporate environment
  • Strong ability to listen, absorb, process and distill new information across a wide range of complex topics, programs, products and services
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the communications needs of a large, matrixed enterprise
  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Skilled at collaborating effectively across different levels of an organization, including C-level executives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including editing and proofreading abilities
  • Strong relationship building abilities to build consensus across levels and teams
  • Results-driven mindset that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Project management skills
  • Growth mindset, self-starter with desire to learn and contribute to driving change and results
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, PowerPoint, InDesign and all Microsoft applications

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($68,000- $110,400). Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
