Job Description

Role Purpose 

The purpose of this role is to conceptualize and realize ideas through a comprehensive use of language and the written word. They have the ability to think in a holistic way about how an idea comes to life through all creative channels of a consumer experience. Develops language and copy.

in short form and long form to establish the tonality of ideas. They can act as mentor to junior members of the team and encourage learning. This role will be working for a client in the food and beverage industry, requiring experience with and comfort with food/bev creative.  

Key Accountabilities 

  • Writes narratives, scripts and storyboards, annotations and treatments 

  • Expresses ideas with clarity; on brand; on message and targeted to audience 

  • Presents ideas to both the wider internal team and, occasionally, externally to clients with structure and parity 

  • Comprehends and understands brand continuity, brand guidelines and brand positioning 

  • Creatively supports the effective use of technology and its applications to solve business problems 

  • Drives, defines and feeds back on: quality of briefs, regular reviews, feedback channels, creative quality and collaboration 

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for creative work to be performed for clients, with guidance from seniors and directors 

  • Executes creative concepts together with Art Director at the direction of the creative director 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous spelling and punctuation, and a fastidious attention to detail. 

  • A natural instinct and unbridled love for writing, and the ability to build powerful stories through words. 

  • Drives creative expertise in standards and technicalities of writing/copy for social and digital channels. 

Qualifications

Our team is searching for a social-first copywriter who has a digital portfolio with social-first writing examples (All social channels including IG, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms). 

  • 4+ years Agency experience 

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to translate outstanding thoughts and ideas into compelling words 

  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately in a fast-paced environment 

  • Be highly creative and imaginative 

  • Work well with art director partner 

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of digital and social media platforms, metrics and tracking 

  • Must be self-motivated, hard working, well-organized, and resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables 

  • Ability to lead by example 

  • Passion for advertising creative, with experience in social and digital 

  • Understanding that creative for social isn’t just a tweet or static post, it’s driving culture through impactful work that starts, shares or is amplified on social 

  • A passion for culture, art, film, entertainment and music 

  • Deep knowledge of social-first creative and the technicalities of making leading-edge work in social and digital channels

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000 - $90,400. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
