Job Description

The Sales Operations – Enterprise Sales Leader (ESL) Support role will be the hub/Go-To person in a fast-paced Sales environment supporting the Growth Officer (GO) and the GO’s dedicated Enterprise Sales Leads (ESL) Team. This position reports to the Director, Sales Operations, ESL Support. The ESL Support role will help manage, expedite, and facilitate the tasks set forth within the 5 sales pillars, which in turn, helps expedite, accelerate the sales process/pipeline from start to ‘Close-Won’. This position is a ride along, side-by-side, team effort interacting with many colleagues from across the business units and stakeholders within Merkle.

Sales Operations – Enterprise Sales Leader Support:

  • Well-organized individual who enjoys a face-paced environment, tight deadlines, problem-solving and at times project related
  • Excellent administration/project management skills
  • A team player with a strong and confident personality and a positive attitude with great dedication.
  • Understanding of the New Business/New Logo process and best practices.
  • Ability to learn and enforce Sales Process and all other tool’s processes currently in play

In addition to the day-to-day management of the sales process, the role has three primary focus areas:

  1. Expedites/Acceleration of the sales process/pipeline from start to ‘Close-Won’ by supporting all Sales Support tasks within the current Sales Process
  2. Works daily with ESL; and at times, supports: COO, Global Growth, CXM LoB, Growth Officer, VP, Sales Enablement, and any team members within the Sales Enablement team.
  3. Production and maintenance of material, assets and processes that support the sales cycle

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Expedites sales stages tasks to help increase sales productivity
  • Enhances ESLs productivity by enabling the ESL to work smarter, faster by elevating most of the Sales process Admin/Sales Support tasks and simplifying processes by best practices
  • Monitor/Assist with Salesforce maintenance:
    • Helps maintain accounts contacts
    • Opportunity/SF hygiene
    • At times, assists with creating opportunities in SF
    • Supports/trains by “ride-along” for Growth/Sales new hires & migration teams
    • Monitoring current close dates, TCV, accuracy of all open opportunities
  • Support/enforces – Pricing Tool Process - Seeks Practice Area Approvals on PT, SOW, etc.
  • Support/enforces – Legal Process
  • Identifies and helps eliminate sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies to improve sales team’s performance
  • When needed, acts as the point of contact for the ESL
  • Takes on additional projects when requested

Qualifications

Skills

  • Demonstrated success in a sales OPS, business ops, or similar role
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Agile, self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • Proven strong organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand Merkle’s current sales, Legal and Finance processes, and act upon
  • Salesforce experience creating reports, optimizing processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to C-level executives
  • Proficiency Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office Applications

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations and/or business systems preferably in a software/technology
  • Salesforce.com knowledge/experience is required
  • Word, Excel, PPT, MS Office

Additional Information

Anticipated Salary Range: $45,000-$69,500

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
