Job Description

dentsu health, part of dentsu international (dentsu) is seeking a Sr. Manager/Supervisor of Health Media to join the growing dentsu health practice. The ideal candidate will play a lead role for media relationships with key dentsu health clients, collaborate with partner agencies, provide strategic media guidance to clients, establish and develop relationships with health media publishers, and ensure media programs meet client goals and KPIs. 

As part of the dentsu health team, the candidate will play a critical role in developing and scaling a more contemporary, agile health media offering for the healthcare marketplace. 

  • Day to day management of a brand’s business throughout the entire strategic planning and implementation 

  • Accountable for all client communication 

  • Accountable for on-time, on-budget campaigns, and quality assurance of all ad placements. Drives the process. Oversees detail. Develops tactical plans. 

  • Translate strategy statement into ideas and actions; expand communications planning influence beyond communications plans into orchestrated marketing tactics that deliver on stated goals using agreed to marketing and communications strategies 

  • Develops cross channel request for proposals (RFPs), evaluates proposals, and finalizes buy recommendations. Negotiates best price for media space or time. Involved in core pricing negotiations. Buys negotiated media space, time, placement 

  • Lead and/or support strategic positioning, segmentation initiatives, and holistic program planning and communications 

  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for all activation processes, including but not limited to, Prisma setup, trafficking and creative QA 

  • Transforms campaign metrics and market research into actionable customer insights, observations, and implications 

  • Lead monthly financial operations, inclusive of client billing, actualizations & reconciliation 

  • Work within the team to foster talent, teach & lead junior team members  

  • Participate in new and organic growth opportunities 

  • Contribute to the growth of dentsu health within the broader dentsu organization 

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in media and brand management.  Preferred, but not required in the pharma/life sciences industry - Experience working in a highly regulated industry 

  • Knowlege and experience with multi-channel marketing to DTC (direct to consumer) and HCP (healthcare professional) audiences including programmatic, search, POC (point of care), print, video, and social. Working knowledge of patient and professional media channels and partners 

  • Working knowledge and experience with data-driven strategy and campaign development, measurement, and campaign optimization 

  • Experience with multiple therapeutic/condition areas 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and timelines 

  • Experience with financial processes, billing, actualization, invoice reconciliation, media authorization development & Prisma skills 

  • Willingness to learn from your Media Director and grow skills in client management & communication 

  • Management experience preferred – managed a team of associate/junior planners, planners, as well as multiple contributors from specialty functions (e.g. search, programmatic, social, etc.) 

  • Proven ability to interact with people at multiple levels in a matrixed and integrated organization, fostering strong cross functional teamwork and results 

  • Strategic thinking ability with balanced analytical and creative approach to tactical planning 

  • Experience successfully bringing together people from different disciplines, internal and external to achieve desired outcomes 

  • A hands on, active manager who is able to lean into the work while developing junior talent. 

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000 - $137,500. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
