Job Description

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Director, Social and Influencer Marketing to join our fast-growing Content team. This is a vital role serving across key pieces of business focused on strategy and execution for our client’s sponsorship across football, motorsports, soccer and more.

We're looking for someone to lead a team on social and influencer-led activations while delivering excellent client service. Knowledge and / or experience in sports marketing is a plus.

This role will report into the VP of Social and Influencer Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of social activation plans against client deliverables; inclusive of strategy, ideation, editorial content planning / management, creative development (organic + paid), influencer partnerships, and reporting
  • Partner with our sponsorship / consulting team to guide integrated strategies, develop ongoing best practices, identify new business opportunities
  • Manage, maintain and grow the relationship with clients and key stakeholders
  • Advocate for new ideas in support of continuous improvement / innovation across client work to ultimately drive incremental revenue
  • Oversee workflows, budgets and finance tracking
  • Draft scopes of work in alignment with agency/client policies
  • Remain up-to-date on new technologies, social media trends, tools, platforms, and best practices
  • Manage and mentor junior team members

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of experience with the following attributes:

  • A passion for sports and social culture at large
  • Strong digital/social agency acumen with experience partnering with clients, agency teams and internal cross-functional departments to drive integrated initiatives
  • Leader, creative thinker, excellent communicator and problem solver who is comfortable in a fast-paced projects across multiple workflows
  • Strong deck (PowerPoint) writing and presentation skills; ability to translate ideas into tangible deliverables for the client
  • Knowledge of standard operations across disciplines including social, video production, creative, finance
  • Commitment to growing our business – this means working non-standard hours when necessary, wearing multiple hats when necessary and responding to real-time events under tight deadlines
