Job Description

The Financial Operations Associate is responsible for assisting in the management of the monthly financial process.  This role will work closely with the FinOps Manager of the account, collecting and reviewing data pertaining to planning, buying, and client billing.  The Financial Operations Associate will collaborate across various agency teams including A/P, Billing, Commercial Finance, and the Planning & Activation teams.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Finance & Budget Management:

  • Running reports and monitoring AR and AP status, work with clients and/or internal Finance and Media teams
  • Proper management and reconciliation of media budgets in accordance with media authorizations, including tracking savings and shifts
  • Keeps abreast of all client billing, partner invoices, and delivery issues; know when to escalate issues to management
  • Discuss reporting, questions related to billing, resolve variances in billed vs. planned, and assist with quarterly PO close out
  • Troubleshoot questions or requests as needed
  • Construct and deliver accurate and timely reports/documents

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with agency and external personnel related to budget management and deliverables 
  • Liaise with client’s finance team as needed
  • Work collaboratively across internal agency teams, providing information and requesting reports or other data as needed 

Strategic Thinking & Communication Skills:

  • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client/internal agency issues, changes in account status, partner escalations, etc.
  • Experience reconciling data from multiple financial databases 
  • Respond appropriately when presented with problems and issues
  • Seek lasting solutions rather than quick fixes
  • Capable of managing multiple deliverables
  • Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in oral and written communications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, with a major in accounting or finance. 
  • 1+ years work experience with hands on budget management experience, preferably within the media industry. 
  • Proficiency utilizing MediaOcean/DDS/Prisma
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be a team player
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong attention to detail, exhibit solid business instincts, and thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the advertising and media landscape.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

The anticipated salary range for this position is $39,000$-$45,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
