We are looking for a strong senior Analyst to join our exciting Business Platform Team. The Reporting & Analytics Business analyst will work with internal teams to perform detailed requirements analysis for reporting/analytics needs. This position will oversee the fast moving, but detailed process of requirements gathering and testing of data products. Additionally, this position will be responsible for execution of quality assurance testing prior to user acceptance testing.


To be successful in the role, a strong enthusiasm and a desire to learn and apply functional and technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment is required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather business requirements as well as develop Business Requirement Documents for reporting/analytical needs
  • Identify metrics to be used in reports and dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis needed by the business
  • Contextualize your analysis for key stakeholders to enable decision makers to make better business decisions
  • Presenting insights to the executive team and other key stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making and improve the business
  • Work with report developers to facilitate understanding of Business Requirement Documents and answer questions accordingly
  • Help complete and review Source-Target Mappings working closely with ETL developers
  • Identify and clearly define data validation rules at the field level
  • Assist in test plan development and assist in executing testing for reports prior to UAT deployment
  • Responsibility for the validation of data collected and ensuring data integrity
  • Clearly document the user stories and technical requirements for the functional request
  • Develop process flow and other logical drawings to illustrate system, logic, and integration flows
  • Participate in design sessions with the development teams to define the best solution and provide requirements traceability
  • Articulate the requirements to the development teams to ensure that they are building the solution as per requirements
  • Review developed reports and validate metric and data definitions as per user requirements and business expectations
  • Develop documentation for training, software use, user procedures, and as-required project deliverables

  • The ability to work autonomously and take your own initiative is an important part of the role
  • Knowledgeable in software development lifecycles/methodologies, i.e. agile
  • Strong presentation and collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation

Key Experiences:

  • Understanding of data warehousing, Business Intelligence and ETL processes is REQUIRED
  • Experience with a range of Data Visualization tools – (Power BI and Tableau)
  • Query using SQL
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills required.
  • 3 years minimum Business Analysis / Data Analysis experience in a related field or activity.
  • Be familiar with business processes associated with Finance, HR, Sales, operational and financial reporting
  • Have an aptitude to learn about business functionality being delivered across multiple business areas (Finance, HR, Sales, etc)
  • Understand and apply Agile and/or Scrum approached to the creation of requirements and specification documents
  • Be organized and detail oriented
     

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000 - $121,500. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
