Carat's Planning Team in New York, is looking to add an Associate Director, Planning to their team. You will set the working style for the group, lead the strategic direction, and be a marketing partner for the clients. You will be an expert on the clients' business and a leader on the business with the clients and within the agency.

Reporting to the SVP, Planning, you will oversee media plan output timelines, accuracy, and overall excellence, facilitate the collection and evaluation of syndicated consumer and media usage information and play a contributing role in the creation of the communications plans. You will be managing a planning team reporting into you as well as an extended team across all disciplines focused on digital media, analytics and insights team. You will be the main 1 to 1 with the key clients in terms of relationship managing, key media deliverables, overseeing timelines, and making sure media goes live successfully.

You will be the comprehensive specialist in existing and latest media opportunities that would be relevant to client. Your goal is to make sure our key processes are implemented, working smoothly and bringing about new and innovate media to help push our clients/team forward in the media landscape.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of communications/media planning experience required

  • 3+ years of large media agency experience required

  • Experience managing a team of planners and supervisors required

  • Knowledge of digital media required

  • Knowledge of main implementation and valuation techniques and sources: reach curve updates, Budget Tracking tools, windows of change, schedules, actualizations, econometric and brand measurement tools (MMM, METT, Equity Scan).

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68-$106k. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
