Americas Talent Lead

Job Description

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Working across all service lines and markets within dentsu Americas region, engage directly with the Americas’ business leadership and HR business partners to accomplish the following:

The Work

  • Develop Americas-specific talent management strategy, plans, guidelines, program and standards, in line with the global dentsu talent strategy and principles
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partners to drive performance management, organization effectiveness, and cultural transformation efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and training across the organization.
  • Implement and deliver talent development initiatives to accelerate organizational and team performance to positively impact business results.  
  • Implement the global performance development talent rhythm annually, including goal setting, mid-year review, performance reviews and consistency conversation support   
  • Drive potential assessment process and outcomes related to effectively assessing potential, risk of leaving and impact of loss
  • Support the effective execution of the global people engagement survey annually and the subsequent action planning process to support organizational change
  • Analyze workforce data for insights to enhance talent work, especially related to leadership pipeline
  • Identify business critical positions, include “blueprint” roles, and ensure all have full succession plans in place 
  • Actively participate in monthly Global and Regional Talent Champion roles 
  • Support the execution of Global Talent and Learning Experiences

Strategy/Clients

  • As appropriate to role, contribute to the management of employee value proposition and workforce experience 
  • Support the diversity, equity and inclusion strategy across the Americas and embed practical DEI levers into all talent initiatives
  • Embed dentsu’s Organizational Career Framework into the Americas market in a meaningful way 
  • Act as liaison between Americas and the Global Talent Director on all matters pertaining to the effective execution of talent activity in market
  • Monitor the latest trends and innovations in talent design and development, the future of work, and related tools and technologies.

People

  • Support people leadership initiatives in alignment with the leadership@dentsu model of leadership
  • As a Talent Champion, collaborate with colleagues across the global talent community to share and learn best practice and to avoid duplication
  • Develop a strong network within market and region to understand business priorities and needs
  • Develop career experiences and development plans for key talent, including development and career conversations in alignment with our career framework

Financials

  • Utilize strong program management fundamentals, including planning, resourcing, budget management, supplier contract and management activities
  • Develop and maintain strong data quality, accuracy and process discipline across all initiatives 
  • Support reporting and analysis of programs, plans, initiatives as required

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in strategic design and execution of talent management programs, including a track record of consistency of implementation and evaluation. Comprehensive knowledge and application of organizational design and development.
  • 10+ years people leadership experience leading a team to successfully reach organizational goals.
  • Advanced degree in the field of I/O psychology, organizational development, Human Resources Development or similar preferred

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $196,000-303,000.  Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company’s incentive compensation plan is subject to change. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
