Job Description

The Learning and Development Advisor, under direction of the SL Lead, will support capability areas within a service line or entity to drive a comprehensive set of learning and talent programs and services. This includes developing, establishing, implementing, and measuring defined learning and talent development programs and learning curricula.

 Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

•       Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) within assigned service line, and third-party vendors, to coordinate multiple concurrent projects to deliver training initiatives to accelerate organizational and team performance to positively impact business results.

•       Create and execute project plans for multiple channel and soft skill courses, revise as appropriate to meet continuously changing needs and requirements.

•       Support the instructional design / curriculum development process, including program measurement, by working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), researching, and developing content for use in training materials, manuals, presentations, and exams.  This includes building programming within the dentsu University LMS.

•       Lead facilitation of learning content in live and web-based environments

•       Align newly created training and development curricula to the employee career framework.

•       Provide oversight and continued support of various learning and development programs including participant communications, reporting, facilitating webinars, and mentorship matching. Ensure an ongoing process exists which continuously enhances the knowledge and capability of participants.

•       Work with internal stakeholders to provide ongoing reporting and feedback into the impact of Learning and Talent development programs and deploy needed changes.

•       Assist with the matching and administration of the mentorship programs.

•       Work with certification partners to implement certification initiatives and schedule group training.

•       Respond to learner needs; ensure that the learning solution is made available or delivered in a timely and effective manner.

•       Work with the Service Line HR Business Partners and leadership to understand business needs and development opportunities.

•       Collaborate with Learning and Talent Development Operations for new hire onboarding, instructional design support, and to ensure proper compliance.

•       Support dentsu global and regional learning initiatives within the Service Line. Work with other Learning and Talent Development Service Line Partners to collaborate and share learning strategies.

•       Building strong relationships across siloed groups and using L&D to be a culture enhancer while it solves problems. Generous of spirit and approach.

•       Entrepreneurial mindset: Listening for opportunities to be part of the organizational solution and getting L&D involved when perhaps it wasn’t considered.

Outcomes:

•       All roles within assigned service line have clear functional / technical curricula that will enable employees to develop the require levels of proficiency in their skillsets to perform the roles with excellence.

•       All learning and development programs deploy smoothly and effectively as needed, when needed.

•       Drive engagement with Learning and Talent development programs within service line.

•       Measure training and development initiatives using learning KPIs and evaluate for efficiency, effectiveness, alignment, and an overall ROI on an on-going basis.

Qualifications

·        Practical experience designing, developing, implementing and reporting on Learning and Talent development programs, including formal/informal and development at the individual, team and Service Line level.

·        Process driven, with strong project management skills: ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and handle a range of projects simultaneously within a high-pressure, dynamic environment.

·        Solid understanding of the roles within the organization he/she supports, the role demands, and the competencies required to support those roles.

·        Ability to understand dentsu culture and impact on learning & development requirements.

·        Knowledge and application of adult learning principles, tools and methods; change management concepts; and Learning and Talent management principles and processes.

·        Exceptional digital, written and verbal communication; ability to communicate in a well-organized and concise manner both in one-on-one and group settings.

·        An enthusiastic and committed attitude, flexible problem-solver, open to participate and promote change within the organization.

·        Self-starter with ability to think independently and work autonomously when necessary and a desire to succeed among fellow professionals.

·        Strong attention to detail, relationship building and coaching/training others, and the ability to manage different groups and personalities to achieve consensus.

·        Ability to deliver training in a workshop or web-based delivery medium. Comfortable with technology.

·        Know how to setup, report, and manage learning content in the LMS as appropriate.

·        1-2 years’ experience in the learning and development OR agency industry including a large, fast-paced, complex, global company, managing development programs, leading change and achieving results.

·        Partnering, building relationships based on trust, equality, respect and support.

·        Proven track record of effective, multi-tasked project management.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is strongly preferred.

·        Advanced computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HRIS and LMS.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with ease and control.

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $59,000-$92,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
