Job Description

Isobar Public Sector is seeking a Freelance (1099) Senior Data Analyst to support on-going research and data projects for a large-scale user experience (UX) measurement program.

 

The Senior Data Analyst will help support all aspects of analytic initiatives from conception to completion. The role reports to the Associate Director of Research & Strategy and will work in a collaborative environment with a small team of project managers, user experience designers and analysts.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and analyze primary market research survey data, performance data, and 3rd party marketing data
  • Work across multiple data sets in order to combine field or records across multiple datasets
  • Transform data into readable and usable formats for non-statistical team members to interpret
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques and models such as regression analysis and factor analysis, in SPSS, SAS and other analytics software
  • Interpret results of quantitative analyses and report output to ensure accuracy
  • Display data visually, creating powerful presentations which effectively demonstrate the value of analytic deliverables; proficiency with business visualization tools (e.g., interactive dashboard software)
  • Support Multiple assignments while working within tight deadlines

 

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience required
  • A US Citizen and hold a current Secret level security clearance
  • Demonstrated analytic and quantitative skills with a strong background in basic statistics
  • Experience with statistical programs such as SPSS, SAS, or MATLAB
  • Data management and manipulation experience using SAS, SQL, or other techniques a plus
  • Advanced understanding of data tabulation including sample balancing
  • Experience with “big data” predictive analytics and data mining a plus
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative research to improve user experience
  • Experience in UX measurement and management
  • Good communication, organization, and team interaction skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and particularly in-depth understanding of Excel capabilities, formulas and data manipulation functions
  • Experience with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey or a similar self-service research platform (for programming surveys)
  • Undergraduate in quantitative statistics, econometrics, predictive analytics or related discipline
