Job Description

In this role you'll be responsible for managing media budgets, media invoices and collaborating with client finance through the collection of data and assessment of planning, buying, and media billing invoices.

Previous media experience or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot tables, etc.) is strongly preferred. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

Budget Management:

  • Proper management and reconciliation of all account budgets in accordance with media authorizations
  • Reconcile budgets as they change due to savings and moves
  • Keep abreast of all invoices, billing and delivery issues; know when to escalate discrepancies to supervisors

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with agency personnel related to budget management processes and deliverables
  • Liaise with client divisional finance team
  • Work collaboratively across internal planning and finance teams, informing and requesting reports or other data as needed
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external teams

Strategic Thinking & Leadership:

  • Ensure key information is provided to appropriate individuals and teams regarding budget management issues
  • Break down problems and issues into critical parts which can be resolved
  • May be responsible for constructing and delivering accurate, honest and timely performance management documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, with a major in accounting or finance.
  • 1+ year work experience with hands on budget management experience, preferably within the media industry.
  • Prior client management experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency utilizing MediaOcean and Prisma preferred with superior Excel skills is preferred.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a fast paced, client service environment; a high sense of urgency, a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of all media types; network (television and radio), local, print, out-of-home, and digital.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, is proactive, detail oriented, and must possess outstanding follow-through skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position is 51K-80K.
