Company Description

The Media Planner / buyer is a key role on assigned accounts, overseeing the media buys and providing support for the Supervisor and Director. This role is familiar with all types of buying including broadcast, print, OOH and digital and has a good basic handle on media planning.

Job Description

  • Effectively runs the day to day planning on key accounts
  • Builds and develops media owner relationships in order to drive market leading planning for clients
  • Works with other departments to ensure a campaign goes live on time through the use of best practice and adherence to Service Level Agreement’s
  • Uses understanding of commercial opportunities and trading focuses to ensure investment is guided towards the most appropriate partners
  • Supporting director on deliverables to client, aids in creation of media objectives and strategies using key planning tools and processes
  • Leading deliverables on media plans and recommendations for client, ensuring they are in line with client briefs and objectives
  • Ensuring media plans are implemented with excellence and in line with planned strategy
  • Manages feedback / POVs on media / analysis and evaluation of media opportunities as provided by the media buyer
  • Works closely with partner agencies to ensure integrated plans and executions
  • Keeps up with and advises clients & team on the latest trends in media
  • Continue to provide buying support to team

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of media planning and buying experience focused on All Channels – Video, Display, Social, Programmatic, Broadcast, Print & Out of Home, Etc.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with media planning and buying tools
  • Strong to advanced level MS Office skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s), Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be able to work with cross functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
