Job Description

DEG is seeking a Salesforce developer to provide implementation expertise for the Salesforce CX practice. The Salesforce developer works within the Engineering department, while collaborating with the Salesforce CX practice, developing and implementing solutions for customers on the Salesforce suite
of core solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Platform Cloud). The Salesforce Developer is competent in the core Salesforce cloud offerings and an expert in Salesforce development architecture, languages, and practices. This person must have strong communication, time management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment. This is a great opportunity to work on delivering solutions in a variety of industries. Salesforce Engineers typically engage on a project basis as part of the Implementation Team and collaborate with both DEG teammates and Salesforce customers.

Responsibilities

  • Solution design, architecture and Implementation of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and
  • Community Cloud projects
  • Mapping, extracting, transforming, and loading data
  • Performing unit testing, both automated and manual, of business logic and behavior to
  • confirm proper implementation of requirements and quality execution
  • Estimating development tasks during discovery, scoping, planning and development
  • stages
  • Communicating technical dependencies, blockers and risks to project stakeholders and
  • management
  • Adhering to and enforcing project level design decisions and conventions
  • Documenting technical design decisions, behavior, and support methods
  • Migrating and deploying solutions between environments
  • Estimate development tasks during discovery, scoping, planning and development stages
  • Managing time effectively to meet deadlines and commitments

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience
  • At least 3 years for application development experience
  • Salesforce certifications are a huge plus
  • Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Platform Cloud and Community Cloud product competency
  • Apex, Visualforce, and salesforce.com API development
  • Strong SQL and relational data experience and skills
  • Front-End web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc)
  • Lightning Web Components experience
  • Ability to lead and effectively manage technical discussions including communicating data
  • requirements to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience developing technical documentation
  • Previous experience with a software professional services or consulting firm (SaaS
  • preferred)
  • Experience with Java and/or scripting languages
  • Four year college degree (computer science, computer technology or similar degree)
