Job Description

 

DEG, a Merkle Company is seeking an Associate Integration Engineer to work within the Enterprise Technology team. Integration Engineers are primarily back-end software engineers responsible for implementing solutions that integrate with a variety of platforms. In this role, you will gain experience in a wide range of technologies working on data integrations, cloud infrastructure, DevOps and web development. Considered the best job in the company by those who enjoy solving complex problems across a variety of industries and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to evaluate and identify optimal
  • backend solutions.
  • Designs, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve application vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
  • Implement business logic as defined by the client and Business Analyst.
  • Implement and secure data access layers, APIs and ETL processes.
  • Estimate development tasks during scoping, planning and development stages.
  • Communicate technical dependencies, blocks and risks to project stakeholders and
  • management.
  • Follow project level design decisions and conventions.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Help support team owned legacy projects.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Development experience using either C#, Java,or Python.
  • Knowledge of relational or document-based databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems (Azure or AWS). Cloud certifications are preferred
  • but not required.
  • Awareness of data integration methodologies and general experience utilizing web
  • services/APIs, flat files, FTPs, ETLs, etc.
  • Understanding of SecDevOps processes including CI/CD, source control management
  • and system automation.
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both on a team and independently.
