Job Description

"Remote Opportunity"

The Director of the Analysis & Insights team is responsible for developing and managing the delivery team to ensure consistency and repeated best practices, innovation and data-informed decision-making. This role will be focused on leading a project team to ensure that analytics is delivering significant value to the client organization.

Client Delivery:

  • Educate stakeholders on best practices and proper use of digital data and analytics to help make informed decisions

  • Direct the evaluation and selection of digital analytics technologies based on established criteria to satisfy client business needs

  • Communicate complex digital data insights to the client to support decision making

  • Direct the development of test methodologies based on analytic requirements

  • Provide strategic perspectives and develop necessary frameworks for key areas (marketing effectiveness, attribution, governance, testing & optimization, personalization) for guidance and to promote organizational objectives

  • Proactively manage and foster client relationships by acting as a strategic advisor to the client using a keen understanding of the client’s business and marketing objectives, not only the current project

  • Conduct regular client communication, expectation setting and management, as well as providing strategic direction

  • Proactively identify potential issues and provide solutions to correct any scope/budget deviations

Development & Mentorship:

  • Mentor with the members of the DI team, from junior to senior to help them improve their understanding of the DI industry, improve their client communication skills, create professional development plans and better understand how our DI offerings fit into the big picture for our clients

  • Work with the internal team and clients by helping the teams apply our thought leadership in ways that will deliver on our clients’ business goals in innovative ways

  • Ongoing practice and process development looking for ways to improve and streamline Cardinal Path’s processes to not only deliver a superior service to our clients, but also to improve our efficiency and profitability

Business Development & Account Strategy:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with existing and new clients by promoting ideas that align with client’s business, consumer and brand objectives across all domains within Cardinal Path’s offerings

  • Conduct and actively use strategic client planning to identify growth opportunities

  • Participate in client pitches and provide scope, technical and subject matter expertise

  • Assist in developing and delivering proposals and statements of work (“SOW”) ensuring scope is clearly defined and costs match what is outlined in the project plan

Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Author Blog posts

  • Host webinars and Lunch and Learns (internal)

  • Speak at conferences, contributing to white papers and case studies

  • Training (both internal and external)

Qualifications

  •  5+ years working in the field of digital analytics and digital marketing - working in a client results service organization, preferably an advertising agency or management consultancy

  • 5+ years on-the-job experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics and WebTrends and experience in advanced web analysis methodologies, such as the following:

    • Deep clickstream analysis

    • Experimentation and testing

    • Personalization

    • Creative Diagnostic and Concept Development

    • Media Attribution and Media Mix Modeling

    • Competitive analysis

    • Social analytics

    • Mobile

    • Surveys, Campaign Impact / Brand Lift Studies

    • Other digital measurement technologies

  • 5+ years on-the-job experience with extracting data and strategizing campaign performance insights from programmatic DSPs (DV360, Adobe Ad Cloud, etc.), social advertisers (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), and paid search platforms (Google/Bing Ads, SA360, Marin, etc.)

  • 2+ years in an analytics management position, preferably with focus on analytics support for online business with a rich online marketing strategy

  • Experience in creating a culture of data-informed decision-making throughout an organization, especially regarding its marketing strategy: influencing media buys, optimizing channel allocation, personalizing marketing messaging, strategizing audience segments and targeting tactics, etc. 

  • Proven collaboration ability, effectively working across multiple stakeholder groups, cross-functional groups, departments and leadership teams both within the organization and outside of the organization

  • Strong knowledge of tag management, media conversion tracking systems, Data Management Platforms (DMPs), media taxonomy governance, translating requirements into analytics strategies, integrating various data sources, and database marketing techniques including targeting, segmentation and modeling. 

  • Ability to stay aware and ahead of emerging technologies, industry and regulatory changes with a proven track record of prioritizing and implementing within the organization. Hands-on experience with consent management, identity resolution capabilities, as well as a data clean room is a plus 

  • Experience in creating strategic measurement plans, technical documentation and supporting full implementation of analytics tools across the entire marketing journey 

  • Experience in creating and presenting analysis with insights to stakeholders/clients, utilizing advanced storytelling skills

  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and data visualization with experience creating clear, concise and professional documents

  • Expert Excel skills (Pivot tables, conditional formatting, advanced formulas)

  • Certified in a minimum of two digital analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, SAS, SPSS, R, Tableau, Domo etc.) is preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred

  • Experience in developing/managing marketing data warehouse is a plus (Google BigQuery, Amazon RedShift, Microsoft Azure)

  • Passion for digital marketing, with a solid understanding of interactive marketing channels (search, online media, website development, etc.) and brand marketing principles

  • Excellent verbal, written and data visualization communication skills with experience creating clear, concise and professional documents

  •  Ability to quickly master new disciplines, concepts, and technologies, with the continual desire to learn

  • There is an expectation that travel will be a requirement of this position - we do not expect travel to make up more than 30% of the time commitment
