Senior Experience Designer | Isobar | Enterprise

Direct Hire, remote

You will work on UX and experience design for enterprise level web for our client, Enterprise. The experiences you help create are often rooted in observation, research, user-journey and workflow analysis. Yes, you are definitely more on the nerdy end of the design spectrum. And that is awesome. Because nerds are awesome. You develop methodologies that lead to genuine insights that the larger team can turn into magic...or insights that save us from disaster. You bring a mixture of quant and qual that clients love—the needed justifications for some of the larger design situations we tasked with solving.

• Consult with clients around goals, user-based need states and research results

• Conduct client and user workshops

• Design user journeys, frameworks and other need UX documentation

• Aid and facilitate prototyping

• Conduct user and stakeholder interviews along with usability testing

• Create need-based (vs marketing) personas

• Analyze and synthesis feedback and create recommendations

• Competitive analysis

Job Description:

As a Senior Designer at Isobar you have the passion, ideas, and chops to help us push what design can be. You may have previously been playing a more supportive role in the design process, but now you’re taking the lead. You have an understanding of web development and the drive to learn and explore new ideas. You must be able to wear multiple hats, juggle projects and excel at working in a fast-paced environment. You must possess strong communication skills and be comfortable working in a team.

• Support the efforts of the Creative Directors on our design staff. Take direction from Executive design team members and Executive Producers

• Single-handedly work on your own creative design solutions for multiple assignments

• Work on multiple design solutions at a time, come up with your own ideas that will serve our client’s needs and oversee the production of the assignment

• Create and contribute to design layouts, navigation, images, icons, multimedia and motion design

• Create design directions with limited content

• Create pages, templates, graphics and provide input on the look and feel for entire websites, mobile apps, interactive presentations, microsites and more

• Other interactive design, print design and motion design duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience in UX/UI design for web for enterprise level clients
  • Visual design skills
  • good communication skills and the ability to present design decisions and rationale internally and externally

  • 3+ years designing interactive projects
  • A positive mindset and collaborative spirit
  • Enthusiasm for learning; Staying current with regard to the latest design trends and technology
  • Ability to translate static wireframes to interactive layouts
  • Aid in the creation of presentation tools and prototypes
  • Exceptional design portfolio of recognizable work for high-profile clients
  • Creativity is an absolute must! Our development team is constantly in need of portable, unique and sustainable solutions. You must successfully come up with effective design ideas that are visually arresting and conceptually engaging.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An unwavering eye for detail, typography and color
  • Ability to concept, brainstorm and come up with unique ideas working off of limited content
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Print design background and experience is a plus, as is broadcast design
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • Expert skill level in: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Prototyping tool
  • Good to have: Motion, 3d, video, audio, illustration
