Mitchell is a full-service PR agency with a long track record of driving breakthrough influencer marketing campaigns. The agency enjoys one of the longest standing relationships with the world’s number one retailer and specializes in leveraging influencers to drive retail/e-comm traffic. 

Our approach allows for relationship driven influencer/brand connections.  We partner with these creators in a meaningful way that translates into the authentic messages delivered to key audience segments. What sets the dentsu influencer marketing capabilities apart is the end-to-end service offering. The approach consists of six key pillars: strategy, creative, talent selection and vetting, campaign delivery, distribution and reporting. Our team leverages the power of data analytics to identify the right influencers for the right brand ethos and ensure it is filtered through a lens of diversity and inclusion. Importantly, we use the data intelligence to set performance benchmarks, fuel high performing content and resolve challenges with underachieving content to deliver results.  

Job Description

We are looking for a strong leader to play a key role in leading and developing all programming tied to digital influencer marketing within the Creative Service Line at dentsu International. Our ideal candidate will bring a combination of experienced leadership, social channel strategy, content planning, team mentorship and vision within the ever-evolving social influencer space. This role will report directly into the VP of Influencer Marketing, based in Los Angeles, CA. As the Associate Director of Influencer Marketing, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end influencer marketing campaigns
  • Apply marketing savvy and strategic thinking to solve unique business challenges for our clients
  • Assist in new business pitches by developing comprehensive influencer media plans and strategic content plans
  • Display a high level of execution in managing social influencer campaigns
  • Development and management of measurable influencer campaigns
  • Content management
  • Driving business results beyond brand affinity
  • Talent management (briefing, contract negotiations, etc.)
  • Talent database development and maintenance
  • Paid amplification
  • Measurement expertise utilizing proprietary and 3rd party platforms
  • Perform research and remain up-to-date regarding current benchmarks and audience/platform trends
  • Manage daily workflow and serve as the senior strategic point of contact for clients
  • Ensures comprehensive reporting that clearly demonstrates program performance relative to campaign objectives
  • Identify areas of opportunity/organic growth within existing account base through real-time assessment of program performance, consumer insights and feedback, and regular dialogue with client contacts
  • Support New Business development through participation in agency brainstorms, sales operations, and budgeting exercises
  • Positively contribute to agency culture by maintaining team morale and providing professional development paths for team(s)

Qualifications

You have:

  • 7+ years experience (ideally agency) influencer marketing, talent management, and/or social media strategy and execution
  • 4+ years account lead experience who can maintain positive client relationships, deliver strategic council, and successfully troubleshoots client and internal issues.
  • 4+ years in the social/digital space as well as influencer marketing
  • 4+ years communicating with c-suite level team members and clients, including e-mail, in-person and presentation
  • 2+ years supervising and training employees
  • Strong collaborator and mentor with the ability to bring out the best in agency talent to produce great work for clients.
  • Passion for pop-culture/insights and trends
  • Knowledge of key performance metrics for paid/earned/owned media with focus on analytics and optimization as well as leading vendor partners in the space
  • Ability to gather client requirements and effectively translate them into a cohesive social media strategy, complete with associated work plans for earned, owned and paid social media
  • A balance of working collaboratively with a forward-thinking team as well as the drive to work independently, pushing work without oversight
