Job Description

*This role can be 100% remote, Ideally this person will be in the Chicago area but we are flexible. This person will work Central Time Zone Business Hours*

We are looking to add a Senior Manager, Planning to our Chicago Team. In this position you would get to be responsible for ensuring that communications strategies are effectively translated into plans and for leading the development and implementation of those plans.  

You would partner with the Director, Planning to set the strategic tone for the assigned accounts. Assisting in the creation of all important plans and presentations. Our ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the holistic media space and available media research. 

In this role you will get to:

  • Work with senior team members to set communications objectives and strategies
  • Manage preparation, development, execution and stewardship of media plans for specific clients and/or brands, and accountable for supporting the team and ensuring plans are executed in line with the agency and client processes and standards
  • Leverage thorough understanding of the client’s media AOR and Reach-Based planning process and procedures to help achieve communications planning objectives and optimize media investment
  • Oversee the consistent reporting of competitive market/media information for each brand/category
  • Develop and maintain time-lines for all projects
  • Balance, prioritize and properly assign work associated with multiple, concurrent projects
  • Serves as a resource for planners and assistants for advice, counsel & mentorship
  • Manage expectations of clients and deliverables
  • Grow business opportunities within current clients, where appropriate
  • Lead face to face client and vendor meetings

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

  • 4+ years of media planning experience required
  • Experience with Project/process management orientation required
  • Demonstrate strong detail orientation and organizational skills required
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines required
  • Well rounded, holistic media planning experience strongly preferred
  • Well versed in local media planning (linear and digital) required
  • Strong working knowledge of the digital media space and available media research
  • Experience creating and selling media programs required
  • Experience with various media tools, including MRI, Simmons, Nielsen, DDS, Media Tools, Kantar, comScore, Clear Decisions, IMS, Scarborough, etc. required

For individuals assigned to and/or hired in Colorado, the anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000, which is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other job-related qualifications. Pay ranges in locations other than Colorado may differ based on labor market wage rates in those locations.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
