Job Description

The Role:

The Communications Manager will be responsible for driving content development and executing the company’s overall messaging strategy, focusing specifically on internal and external facing copy and other written materials. They will join the Internal Marketing team as the ‘copy expert’ and report directly to the Sales and Marketing Operations Manager. This role will also work closely with the C-Suite and support various departments, including Client Success, Partnerships, and Business Development. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for further developing and maintaining a cohesive brand voice and ensuring all company materials reflect the MuteSix mission and service story. 

  • Work alongside and support our growing sales team to deliver the materials they need to be successful. I.e., new outreach messaging, sales collateral, infographics, and industry reports. 

  • Serve as the in-house copywriter for all of our events and various communication channels, including, but not limited to: the MuteSix website, client-facing emails, internal and external newsletters, one-sheets, social media, landing pages, presentations, and more.

  • Manage a content calendar for the MuteSix blog and write timely, SEO-optimized articles that can be used by the MuteSix team to inform clients of industry news and updates. 

  • Produce compelling copy and quotes as requested for partner materials such as blog posts, articles, and e-books. 

  • Act as a PR representative and liaison between the company and the media. This will include proactively pitching MuteSix for relevant stories, researching and submitting MuteSix for awards, and responding to incoming requests for interviews, quotes, and speaking engagements, among other opportunities. 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of copywriting, journalism, or marketing experience, delivering highly successful content. Experience with performance marketing or PR is a plus. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to communicate with colleagues and upper management.

  • Proficiency with computers and writing programs, specifically in Google Drive. 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously. 

  • Excellent time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary. 

  • Proven strong writing skills (technical and creative); you can accurately translate industry-specific information into simple, digestible messaging points. 

  • Quick with feedback, revisions, and editing. 

  • Well-versed and up to speed in the latest social media technologies, platforms, services, and analytics tools.
