Job Description

Are you passionate about  earning attention for your clients through integrated PR campaigns? Do you seek to fully understand your clients’ business needs? As the Account Director, you will:

  • Lead day-to-day earned media relations strategy and execution for clients in the retail sector [consumer focused PR]
  • Spearhead collaboration across the agency to deliver integrated campaigns that generate coverage
  • Build client relationships and be seen as an essential member of our clients’ team
  • Seek solutions across the dentsu network to ensure clients receive the best solutions for their business
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic recommendationsChampion creative thinking and new ideas
  • Assess results in real-time and provide solutions to solve problems or pivot
  • Actively manage budgets
  • Supervise and develop junior team members
  • Keep current with industry and overall consumer PR trends while advancing our expertise in new media
  • Drive organic growth and support new business efforts

Qualifications

You have:

  • BA in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • 7+ years of communications experience in an agency or corporate environment
  • 5+ years experience managing timelines and budgets
  • Experience managing day-to-day client service for consumer-facing brands [retail experience a plus]
  • Strong understanding of all media channels and ability to develop strategic earned-first thinking
  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills; proficient in AP-style writing
  • Strong verbal and written client and interpersonal communications
  • Experience participating in all phases of new business from ideation and program development to presentation and implementation.
  • An active social networker and consumer of latest media
