Job Description

The Awards & Content Manager is responsible for ideating, writing and producing media specific case studies pertaining to award shows and marketing content for dentsu Media in the U.S. The role reports to dentsu Media’s Senior PR Director, based in the New York area.

The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of media and creative experience writing and executing multiple forms of marketing content and awards activities across media effectiveness, audience & insights, investment management, and performance marketing.

We're seeking a creative, organized, detail-oriented team member who has direct knowledge of the global award shows' ins and outs and already built-in relationships with organizers. The candidate must have experience creating case studies from scratch and bringing them to life through compelling storytelling. This role also requires managing and developing comprehensive content strategies that help promote dentsu Media internally and externally.

As part of dentsu Media’s marketing and communications team, this position will work closely with senior leadership as well as client team leads on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will be eager and willing to roll up their sleeves, learn and try new things, and get stuff done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thorough understanding of the media landscape
  • Ability to develop and execute marketing and communication plans for awards and case study initiatives
  • Manage deadlines and approvals for awards show programs
  • Experience working with media teams to review and draw out compelling case study stories, including copy, slides, and video when appropriate
  • Manage large and small marketing, communications, and content development projects from start to finish
  • Help create content for all of the Media Service Line’s digital channels
  • Collaborate with clients and media teams, and other internal stakeholders to ideate and execute ongoing award programs, case study opportunities and other marketing assets
  • Responsible for managing and growing relationships with key award shows
  • Responsible for pitching and securing jury nominations at all types of award shows
  • Support other PR + Thought Leadership and Marketing initiatives across the service line
  • Detailed knowledge and familiarity with the rules for all major global award competitions
  • Build trust and maintain relationships with senior leadership,  client teams, clients, media partners, and partner agencies
  • Understand the work, vision, values and structure, and how they relate to project goals and work collaboratively with others to achieve result

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business management
  • 4+ years’ experience ideating and producing award programs at a global media company or ad agency.
  • Passion for the Media Service Line’s growing culture and mission
  • Excellent creative and media writing skills for telling compelling and engaging stories
  • Stellar verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Comfortable working independently as well as within a small team
  • Growth mindset, self-starter with the desire to learn and contribute to driving change and results
  • Experience in writing media and creative case studies
  • Fluency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word; experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other graphics programs a plus 
  • Strong attention to detail
