Job Description

Filter is in search of a seasoned, innovative, and passionate Senior UX Designer with native mobile application design experience to join Filter and our design team for one of our key enterprise clients. You will be concepting and designing forward thinking experiences for a new smartwatch wearables product and app, supporting the Product & Technology Experience team. in designing native mobile apps is required, and experience in wearables/IOT is highly desired. Additional experience in accessibility, designing for elderly populations, healthcare, assistive services, smart home, or aging in place is also highly desired.

In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for creating meaningful and impactful experiences for our clients and their customers, satisfying business and brand objectives while delighting end users. You will work as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with design, research, product and development team members from Filter and the client organization. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, delivering creative work that is on-brand, on-strategy, and flawlessly delivered. You will lead other designers through the design process, as well as be able to work independently taking a deliverable from start to finish.

 

In Your Role, You Are: 

·         Experienced in user experience design delivery from start to finish, partnering with other creatives, product and business team members, and client delivery teams. 

·         Capable of working with User Researchers or conducting your own research, to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivators that lead to engagement and realization of value for the user and client organization.  

·         Able to translate abstract concepts into simple, elegant, and innovative designs expressed in sketches, diagrams, rapid prototypes, and final design executions.  

·         Experienced in the creation of design solutions, prototypes, and creation of effective deliverables to communicate these designs to development and other delivery teams. 

·         Able to utilize design principles, guidelines, patterns, and design systems in your work.  

·         Capable of clearly communicating and defending design decisions, providing and receiving constructive critique, and iterate to final design delivery.  

·         Driven to contribute to and learn from a multi-disciplinary team; seeking and sharing knowledge freely, inviting collaboration, and fostering shared understanding. 

·         Pragmatic, not dogmatic, and embracing of change. You have a belief in data to inform decisions.

Education / Experience 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, Human Centered Design, Psychology, or equivalent. 

·         Professional experience in an Experience Design role, ideally in a mid-to-enterprise business environment. 

·         A portfolio of past work including concepts, ideation, flows, and completed designs, and final deliverables that demonstrate clear design thinking and craftsmanship. 

·         Demonstrated ability to create effective, elegant, and usable design solutions to complex problems. 

·         A strong sense of ownership and accountability. 

·         Intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and a collaboration-driven interaction style.
