Job Description

Supermarket acquisition (core responsibility)

  • Identify, prioritize, and approach supermarket chains and independent grocery stores.
  • Lead end-to-end deal cycle: prospecting → pitch → negotiation → contract → handover.
  • Close partners with strong potential for q-commerce (assortment depth, delivery readiness, pricing competitiveness).
  • Secure commercial terms aligned with marketplace profitability and growth.

Q-Commerce readiness

  • Assess partner operational capability for on-demand fulfillment.
  • Align on assortment strategy (top SKUs, high-frequency items, private label, promos).
  • Ensure partners can support fast picking, stock availability, and order accuracy.

Strategic portfolio building

  • Fill geographic and category gaps in supermarket coverage.
  • Balance acquisition between:
  • Strategic chains (brand pull, scale)
  • High-performing local supermarkets (speed and margin)

Cross-functional execution

  • Work with onboarding, operations, and catalog teams for go-live readiness.
  • Align with marketing on launch campaigns and in-app visibility.
  • Coordinate with finance/legal on contracts, billing, and compliance.

Performance tracking

  • Track funnel health: leads → meetings → signed → live.
  • Monitor early performance of newly acquired partners:
  • GMV ramp-up
  • Assortment completeness
  • Availability & cancellations
  • Provide market insights and competitor intelligence.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or other related field. 
  • Experience in FMCG, retail, supermarkets, or e-commerce preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable with field sales and partner visits.
  • Data-driven and target-oriented.
  • Understanding of Q-Commerce dynamics is a strong plus.
