Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and operationally strong Associate Director, Site Contracts, Budgets & Payments to lead global site contracting and investigator grant activities across clinical programs. This role is critical to ensuring timely study startup and execution by delivering finalized site agreements, budgets, and payment plans aligned with corporate and program timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary escalation point for global site contracts, budgets, and payments
  • Lead development of investigator grant budgets, payment terms, and contracting strategies
  • Oversee contract tracking, documentation, and compliance across internal systems and external partners
  • Provide oversight and support to study teams and CROs throughout feasibility, startup, maintenance, and closeout
  • Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and CROs to drive efficient study startup and lifecycle execution
  • Contribute and participate in bid defenses, joint operating committees (JOCs), kickoff meetings, and other program-level discussions
  • Lead department initiatives, process improvements, and mentor team members
  • Travel up to 25% as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience negotiating global site agreements within an outsourced model
  • Deep expertise in site contract templates, investigator budgets, payment terms, and contracting plans
  • Strong experience managing CROs and serving as an escalation lead
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic, solution-oriented support across internal and external stakeholders
  • Global experience in study startup and maintenance, preferably within Oncology
  • Experience working in Phase I, II, III, and IV trials
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and influencing skills with strong attention to detail

  • Direct people management and/or mentoring experience
  • Sponsor experience or fully embedded to Sponsor

This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape contracting strategy, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate clinical trial execution globally.

Additional Information

Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $157,000 - $217,000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.​
