Job Description:

 

We are seeking a skilled GIS Specialist with strong expertise in Python, ArcGIS, digital imagery, and database management. The ideal candidate will support geospatial data processing, analysis, visualization, and troubleshooting across multiple GIS-driven projects. This role requires hands-on experience in handling satellite imagery, automating GIS workflows, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of geospatial datasets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform geospatial analysis using ArcGIS, including map creation, spatial data processing, and geostatistical operations.

Work with digital imagery, including satellite and aerial data (processing, classification, enhancement, and interpretation).

Automate GIS workflows using Python and relevant geospatial libraries (e.g., ArcPy, GDAL, GeoPandas).

Manage, maintain, and query geospatial databases (SQL or spatial databases).

Troubleshoot GIS issues related to data quality, software performance, scripts, and processing workflows.

Integrate multiple datasets from diverse sources into GIS systems ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Develop and maintain GIS tools, scripts, and models to improve data processing efficiency.

Support cross-functional teams by providing geospatial insights and technical expertise.

Prepare high-quality maps, visualizations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Required Skills:

 

Strong proficiency in Python programming.

Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Desktop/Pro and ArcGIS Online/Enterprise.

Good understanding of database concepts, including spatial databases (PostGIS, SQL Server, etc.).

Working knowledge of digital imagery processing techniques.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Good communication and documentation skills.
