Job Description

Crown is seeking an Aeronautics R&D Outreach Coordinator. The successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for advancing the state of aviation through advocacy and marketing.

NASA's "Sky for All" R&D framework looks to capitalize on advancements in autonomy, digital aviation, machine learning and other emerging technologies, to benefit aviation services. The Sky for All team collaborates closely with projects and programs within NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) and with various stakeholders (including the FAA, industry, academia).

Responsibilities

  • Provide collateral help for Sky for All Concept of Operations documentation and presentations—specifically, supporting graphics, videos, online content
  • Host and coordinate internal/external Sky for All working group events (virtual/hybrid/in-person)
  • Develop a plan to advocate for Sky for All across all available forums, including Ames Research Center, LinkedIn and other appropriate outlets
  • Assist the team in creating a quarterly Sky for All newsletter
  • Drive advocacy and visibility externally
  • Coordinate and drive Portal updates
  • Establish a social media presence and conduct outreach activities
  • Deep-dive collaboration with select associations, industry members, etc.
  • Participate in in-person panels/workshops

This position requires the candidate to reside in proximity to NASA Ames (Mountain View, CA) to be able to attend in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Business, or equivalent is required
  • 2 – 10 years of experience is desirable, but we are flexible in seeking outstanding candidates
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) is required
  • Proven interpersonal communication skills
  • Marketing experience across multiple domains
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance is required
