Job Description

The Senior Installation Technician position requires the demonstrated ability to supervise crews of various sizes on working communication sites. This position will report to the Program Manager and must be able to communicate effectively either directly or through daily reports, the status, progress and any issues faced during the installation. He should have the ability to climb various types of communication towers to heights in excess of 100 feet. These would include self-supporting, monopole and guyed towers. He must be able to direct the installation of coaxial cable lines, tower and facility grounding systems, and antennas installation and replacement. Must have experience overseeing installation of Cast In Place Pier foundations, slab foundations, and other foundations. This position requires 100% travel. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain work schedule, and lead on a daily basis the crew to complete daily task to finish project on time and under budget
  • Maintain the customers facility in an exemplary condition
  • Prepare daily construction logs to track daily activities and maintain quality requirements required by the customer
  • Communicate with the customer to provide status updates and resolve any issues
  • Compiles and completes job documentation i.e. certificates of completion, customer required training and safety forms, and punch list
  • Effective utilization of available resources, technology, and tools to complete work on a timely basis
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Be able to read and interpret construction and installation drawings
  • Represent the company in a professional manner in the presence of the customer
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly working environment
  • Properly follow all safety procedures and policies and ensures that his crew also follows these procedures and policies

Qualifications

  • Should have a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated supervision experience for independent teams installing foundations, erecting towers, and associated activities.
  • Must be a self-starter and dependable for daily attendance, timeliness, and punctuality.
  • Desired: NWSA (National Wireless Safety Alliance) Certified 
  • Preferred candidate should have completed a secondary education program related to electronics, civil engineering, project management or construction management.
  • Willingness to travel and work in all US locations for extended periods of time, without the need to travel home at frequent intervals.
  • Candidate should have experience with connector application systems (Andrew, CommScope, etc.)
  • Should have experience leading crews on major tower build outs of 25 sites or with multiple sites active at the same time.
  • Candidate must be organized with a strong attention to detail and quality.
