Job Description

The Tower Installation Technician position requires the ability to climb to heights in excess of 100 feet. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Communication Towers, both self-supporting and guyed, installation of coaxial cable lines, tower and facility grounding systems, and antennas installation and replacement. Veterans are encouraged to apply. This position requires 100% travel. 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing superior customer service ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
  • Adhering to all driving requirements as determined by State and Federal legislation.
  • Adhering to all Company and industry (i.e., OSHA, NEC) standards/regulations.
  • Effective utilization of available resources, technology, and tools to complete work.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures

Other Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Proper maintenance of company provided equipment (test equipment, tools, PC, cameras, vehicles, etc)
  • Represent the company in presence of the customer
  • Attend meetings
  • Attend trainings
  • Maintains clean, safe and orderly environment
  • Properly follow all safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

  • Preferred two years of climbing experience on self-support, monopole and guyed towers from a minimum of 30 feet to over 100 feet
  • Experience on major tower builds and modification preferred
  • Willingness to travel and work in all locations across the US for extended periods of time
  • Tower Climber Certification or equivalent certification (Training to be offered)
  • Desired: NWSA (National Wireless Safety Alliance) Certified 
  • Experience for connector application systems (Andrew, CommScope, etc.)
  • Fall Protection training certification (Preferred)
  • Ability to climb heights in excess of 100 feet
  • Physically lift as much as 50 pounds over head
  • Ability to read & comprehend Construction Drawings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter, team player, results oriented
  • Timeliness/Punctuality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems
