Job Description

NOTE: There are FOUR positions - FAA HQ in Washington, DC and Service Centers in Seattle, WA, Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX, and Atlanta, GA.

Position provides air traffic expertise to FAA's Air Traffic Control Quality Assurance function, supporting risk assessment processes at FAA HQ in Washington DC, and Service Centers in Seattle, WA; Dallas Ft. Worth; and Atlanta, GA.

Principal responsibilities embrace:

1. Performing data and systems analyses to address safety risks in Air Traffic, Technical Operations, and Runway Safety.

2. Analyzing incident causal factors for reporting on air traffic, technical operations, and runway safety investigations.

3. Assembling information and data to perform trend and other analyses.

4. Supporting implementation and management of Airborne and Surface safety risk analysis processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Must have a record of holding an FAA ATC 2152 designation/credential and minimum: 

  • 15 years of ATC experience of which a minimum of 10 years must be at Level 8 or higher rated facility - OR - 10 years of ATC experience at Level 8 or higher rated facility and a minimum of 3 years of ATC management or staff experience
  • Experience in ATC Quality Assurance and Quality Control
