Job Description

NOTE: There are FOUR positions - FAA HQ in Washington, DC and Service Centers in Seattle, WA, Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX, and Atlanta, GA.

Position provides piloting expertise to FAA's Air Traffic Control Quality Assurance function, supporting risk assessment processes at FAA HQ in Washington DC, and Service Centers in Seattle, WA; Dallas Ft. Worth; and Atlanta, GA.

Principal responsibilities embrace:

1. Perform data and systems analyses that address safety risks.

2. Conduct analyses of databases on incident causal factors. Review, edit, and prepare reports on air traffic, technical operations, and runway safety investigations.

3 . Gather required information and data to perform trend and other analyses for the preparation of formal Document Change Proposals (DCP) used in FAA Orders, Regulations, and Procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Must possess:

1. A current ATP certificate and serve as a flight crew member (specifically a working line pilot assigned to duty in an aircraft during flight-time).

2. A minimum of 4,000 hours flight experience.
