Job Description

Crown is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst in Reston, Virginia. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements and translating them into the design and construction of web-based applications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Decompose high level requirements from the customer into detailed user stories to support developers/sprint planning
  • Work as an integral part of an agile team to identify detailed field level specifications for new systems development work and support all phases of the sprint from design through release
  • Assist in coordinating and providing meeting support for government and stakeholders, tracking major milestone initiatives, developing work plans, supporting project management activities, and developing briefing presentations
  • Identify and track successful activities against requirement metrics detailed in various documentation
  • Review and comment on various policies, documents, reports, briefings, and correspondence
  • Create and manage project schedules and other project planning materials
  • Develop and prepare agendas, schedules, materials, and mailing for projects and/or meetings
  • Handle all logistics and planning related to various meetings/events; follow-up on key tasks/outcomes
  • Provide support during meetings, including audio/visual set-up, document/material preparation, note taking, developing meetings summary, etc.
  • Support and interface with high-level government program representatives on program issues
  • Act as a writer for documentation to include, but not limited to, reports and summaries
  • Act as an editor and review all material prior to the submission to the customer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject from an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Minimum of five (5) years of directly related work experience in either private industry or the government is required
  • Strong experience working in Jira developing user stories for software development agile teams
  • Previous work with the FAA is preferable
  • Knowledge of the National Airspace System (NAS) and Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) a plus
  • Interagency experience or familiarity working with diverse organizations to reach a common objective
