Job Description

The Senior Program Analyst:

Provides expertise to conduct research, evaluations, and studies; presents recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements. Classifies and summarizes data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis. Provides planning, scheduling, networking and coordination assistance among all regional and headquarters’ organizations; involving NAS implementation and integration efforts and related monitoring/tracking programs. Provides assistance and recommendations to FAA managers and staff who directly affect the conduct and attainment of agency goals. This position is considered vital to our FAA customer and their mission. 

Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered an expert in field within the organization. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives. Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS with 8-12 years relevant experience (MA/MS with 6-10 years relevant experience)
  • Ability to utilize expert knowledge of and apply advanced principles and concepts of a professional family.
  • Ability to make significant improvements in programs, processes, and solutions to enhance results.
  • Ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust.
