Job Description

The Junior Security Systems Specialist serves as security design and analysis analyst expert on small to medium size projects, to include reviews where security assessments are required. The Security Systems Specialist:

  • Acts as the expert in security system design and installation on small to medium size projects, to include reviews where security assessments are required.
  • Provides advice, counsel, and opinions on a wide variety of matters pertaining to security systems operations and systems management.
  • May perform review services in one or more of the following areas: 
    • Security planning, Designing security controls, Operational security controls, Physical security, Risk analysis, System performance analysis, and New/Emerging technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (8 years) in Engineering or Science.
    • The FAA will accept Engineer-In-Training Examination (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certifications in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience, three (3) of which will be in systems security design, analysis, policy, and implementation.
  • Must have certifications in the core access control systems deployed as a part of the standard configuration within six months of contract award.
  • Must be able to pass background check for access to secure facilities.
