Job Description

Crown is seeking a Mid-Senior level web developer with foundational JavaScript and PHP skills to support the day-to-day maintenance of energy-related dashboards, Open Data API, websites, and data update procedures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, organization, functionality, accessibility, navigation, and overall usability of a web site at a leading government agency. This position works closely with internal IT staff to ensure the web site supports the mission need and outreach deemed essential by government stakeholders. 

This is currently a fully remote/telework position.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field 
  • 2-4 years of experience in client server or distributed architecture environments including web-based applications development
  • Configure and maintain webpages (e.g. data modeling, coding, integration, testing, debugging, maintenance, documentation code libraries and visualizations)
  • Manage content, create documentation, and facilitate communications and postings with Stakeholder Outreach & Communications personnel
  • Perform support-related tasks for governments web development team
  • Implement upgrades to website programming and web-database application development
  • Develop appropriate security measures to safeguard data and restrict access appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some knowledge and experience in the use of continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, etc.) and build/deploy automation.
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience as a Front-end Software Developer with experience designing interactive web applications
  • Experience working with PHP, JavaScript, HTML
  • Experience in Oracle and Postgres/ SQL
  • Proficient in Git and GitFlow or a deep understanding of version control tools and branching model
  • Familiarity with structured query language, working with code repositories in a team environment, Angular framework, exposure to CI/CD
  • Ability to analyze user needs to implement web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity
  • Understanding of filesharing platforms
  • Must be able to work independently to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional team player with strong time management and a willingness to learn new skills and ideas
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and enthusiasm
