Job Description

Cricut’s legal department is looking for a high-performing Contracts Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. We are looking for someone with impeccable attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills, and a positive attitude.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review, negotiate, and edit many types of contracts and agreements, including NDAs, buy-side (suppliers, vendors, contractors, and services), and sell-side (customers, distributors).
  • Manage and prioritize contract workflows beginning to end, starting with the legal department’s receipt of a request for contract review or generation, through negotiation and coordinating signatures, and ultimately ending with appropriately storing and tagging in the company’s document repository systems.
  • Draft and negotiate modifications to contracts and agreements, working closely with corporate counsel, internal business partners, and third parties to negotiate terms and obtain necessary approvals for modification.
  • Follow prescribed contract playbooks and approval chains, escalating to and coordinating with corporate counsel, finance, and operations where needed.
  • Manage contract-related disputes through to resolution, both internally and externally.
  • Manage contract close-outs, extensions, and renewals, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate contract audits and special projects as determined by the needs of the greater legal department.
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and training to company organizations on key topics affecting contract policies, procedures, and applicable law.

Qualifications

Required skills and experience:

  • 3-7 years of experience managing contracts (including drafting and negotiation) in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) with strong academic record
  • Ability to set priorities, be flexible, handle multiple tasks, and to track and follow up on projects
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of the company
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high pressure situations, and take initiative where appropriate
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with a contract management system (e.g., SAP CLM, Apttus, Conga, or the like)
  • Experience with electronic signature software (e.g., Docusign, EchoSign)
