Job Description

Are you looking to step into a leadership development role? Cricut has an exciting opportunity for a Front End Development Lead to join a fast-paced, innovative company in the DIY consumer packaged goods industry. This position provides the opportunity to lead two front end developers while being a hands-on contributor in a highly visible role within Cricut's Creative Development Team. The Front End Development Lead liaises closely with the UX, Visual Design, Marketing, and Software Engineering teams, and reports to the Creative Director. You will be instrumental in ensuring our digital efforts are executed with precision and efficiency by overseeing the team responsible for creating and maintaining web and email assets.

Qualifications

Requirements
  • 3+ years front-end design/development experience
  • Proficient with: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
  • CMS (Drupal or WordPress)
  • Understanding of version control
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with email campaigns and email service providers
  • Experience with web asset optimization techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well in a close team environment
  • Must have a strong portfolio that exemplifies a broad range of web experience and working on site design and coding
  • Well-versed in web technologies, best practices, emerging trends in media, and marketing
  • Previous experience leading projects
  • Strong conception, presentation, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to take design direction from concept through execution with great attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Building the client-side code for polished templates, from HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript that meet W3C standards
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced environment to rapidly iterate and prototype digital products
  • Testing and troubleshooting HTML across multi-platform browsers and email clients
  • Produce and execute creative/content for e-Commerce website and email materials
  • Build and improve upon web pages to ensure best possible page load time
  • Maintain customer-facing marketing websites
  • Follow brand standards and web style guides to ensure brand maintains their unique visual identity
  • Lead a small team of developers while managing your team’s part of every project
