Job Description

The Financial Analyst reports to the Senior Financial Analyst and is responsible for:

  • Assist with the management and production of all financial reporting functions within Provo Craft
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting packages used by executive team, investors, debt holders, and board of directors
  • Monthly Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) document
  • Daily sales updates for internal use
  • Contribute to the forecasting and budgeting process
  • Work with sales team, product managers, department heads and executive team to accurately model the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows
  • Participate in weekly short-term cash flow forecasting
  • Reforecast financial statements as needed for internal and external presentation
  • Conduct meaningful analysis of the company’s finances
  • Help with budget-actual reconciliation meetings with department heads
  • Budget-to-actual and period-over-period analysis of numerous key financial metrics
  • Ad hoc analysis at direction of/in cooperation with CFO, VP of Finance, and other team members
  • Interact with and modify financial data systems (SQL Server & MS Access databases)
  • Select queries, modify views, append queries (MS access) 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Financial analysis experience
  • Accounting experience or background
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience in report generating applications (Tableau Software, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required and working knowledge of MS Access (see below):
  1. Intermediate/Advanced functions: Index, Match, nested “If” statements, Sumifs, etc.
  2. Table and graph design, including (but not limited to) Pivot Tables
  3. Financial modeling
  4. Building complex reports from large datasets with a professional look and feel

Preferred:

  • Public Accounting experience in Big 4 companies
  • Experience with VBA for MS Excel
  • CPA / CMA certifications
