Principal Sales Engineer

This role will start as a Sales Engineer with the goal of moving into the Sales Manager within 3-5 years, as the current Sales Manager is nearing retirement.  Further growth within Operations in the company is a possibility in the future, as well.

Responsibilities

  • Manage midwestern and eastern accounts.
  • Solicit new clients through calls and site visits.
  • Work with existing clients to improve service, and offer latest solutions and products. Provide technical support.
  • Follow sales projects from start to finish, coordinating with manufacturing and engineering to ensure products are meeting customer specifications and OTD.
  • Work with clients and engineers to solve problems, and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Work to resolve dimensioning and tolerancing problems.
  • Market products and services online, and help to build the company's online presence.
  • Concentration will be on existing products, but also consider new products and applications.
  • Understand and interpret blue prints, technical drawings and 2D and 3D CAD renderings.
  • Perform sales forecasting and budgeting.
  • Develop sales strategies to ensure sales targets are met.

Qualifications


  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering or other similar 4 year degree.
  • 3-10 years of experience in technical sales.
  • MBA preferred, but not necessary.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales leadership roles preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and interpret blue prints, technical drawings and CAD renderings. (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Project Management experience.
  • Exemplary communication skills.
  • Available for travel up to 30%.
  • US citizens or Permanent Residents only, no sponsorship available.
