Job Description
A Warranty Representative in the metal building industry is responsible for overseeing the warranty process for products and services, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. This role involves managing claims, and implementing strategies to improve product reliability and warranty performance
Responsibilities
- Warranty Program Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain warranty policies, procedures, and work instructions for internal and external teams
- Claims Management: Investigate, process, and resolve warranty claims in a timely, efficient manner; ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for warranty-related customer inquiries, ensuring clear communication and resolution of issues
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze warranty data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement; prepare reports and presentations on warranty performance
- Process Improvement: Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, service) to reduce incident reoccurrence, improve part analysis efficiency, and enhance product reliability
- Team Management: Lead and mentor warranty professionals, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and operational goals
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, OEMs, and regulatory agencies to address warranty issues and negotiate terms
- Risk & Cost Management: Assess financial risks, monitor warranty costs, and recommend strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree desirable but not required.
- Experience: 3-5+ years in warranty management, 5-10 + years industry experience in technical systems (metal buildings preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Certifications (optional): Metal Buildings panel installation training.
