Job Description

Heading our Sales Department for Truck Tires / Fleet Solutions, Specialty Tires & OE Trailer, the scope of this position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Profit & loss responsibility for Truck Tire Retail Sales as well as Fleet Sales business in Benelux;
  • Defines, adapts and implements Sales strategies in line with Sector and Business Area channel, product and brand strategy;
  • Steers sales by developing and tracking budget and forecast plans that cover volume, revenue and profit;
  • Meets with customer to discuss and consult on evolving needs, market trends and Continental product portfolio, leads and/or supports on customer negotiations, participates in tenders and RFQs;
  • Directs Conti360 fleet administration, ensuring professional and customer-oriented contract administration, invoicing and management of external service providers, ensures collaborative exchange with Conti360 hub;
  • Promotes and tracks usage of CRM tools, advocates use of digital tools and artificial intelligence;
  • Manages, coaches and develops sales personnel, sets and tracks (individual) targets, oversees performance, provides both ad hoc and formal feedback to direct reports and their team members.

Qualifications

  • Completed BA or MA university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or relevant other tertiary-level education
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience within the Tires industry and 7 years of specifically Sales experience (Sales Manager / Key Account Manager). Cross-functional work experience is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience, at least at the level of Leading People and preferably with remote leadership experience
  • Demonstrable project management and change management experience
  • Strong financial & business know-how & understanding
  • Deep market understanding (client segments, tire & retread industry, transportation/logistics fleet business, etc)
  • Strategic & conceptual skills; ability to build alliances & cooperation agreements with internal & external partners
  • Very strong communication skills (negotiation, presentation, consultation, moderation, conflict resolution)
  • Confident working with digital tools and continuously looking for smarter, technology-driven solutions (e.g. automation, AI, etc)
  • Fluency in English and, at minimum, fluency in one local language (Dutch and/or French) is an essential requirement.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid work position with flexibility to work from both the office and your home location. The position will require approx. 20-30% business travel, mainly within Belgium and the Netherlands and occasionally to HQ in Germany and/or other locations typically in Europe.
