Job Description
Role Objective:
Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for skilled construction workers (masons, welders, electricians, plumbers, heavy machinery operators, etc.), with the ability to identify and attract talent for both domestic projects in Mexico and international mobility programs (e.g., Canada).
Secondarily, this role may extend to other industries with strong demand for skilled workers, such as healthcare (nurses), agriculture, hospitality, and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute attraction strategies for skilled construction talent, leveraging job fairs, technical schools, unions, digital platforms, and referrals.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment: job posting, screening, interviews, skills tests, reference checks, documentation, and international pre-screening.
• Maintain and segment candidate databases by industry, skill set, and eligibility for international placements.
• Ensure compliance with local labor regulations and, when relevant, immigration requirements.
• Deliver clear, measurable results: fill rate for critical roles, successful hires, and time-to-hire performance.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in recruiting skilled workers in the construction industry.
• Preferable: experience with international mobility/export of talent or recruitment in high-demand industries (healthcare, agriculture, hospitality).
• Knowledge of Mexican labor regulations; familiarity with Canadian/US work permit processes is desirable.
• Strong command of digital recruitment tools (LinkedIn, OCC, Computrabajo, Indeed, ATS/CRM systems).
• Comfort working in results-driven environments, open to commission-based compensation tied to successful hires.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• English: intermediate level preferred. Additional languages are a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Background in leading staffing agencies (e.g., Adecco, Manpower, Kelly Services) or top construction firms/contractors (e.g., ICA, Carso Infraestructura, Mota-Engil, Prodemex).
• Strong networking ability in industries with high turnover and demand.
• Thrives in high-pressure, target-oriented environments with flexible compensation structures.
Additional Information
- Initially it will be working from home.
- Hourly rate depends on the experience and it would be a commission based model most likely.
- We are open for part timers as well.
