The UK business is headquartered in London, with over 900 specialists throughout 16 offices across the UK and Ireland. The role in question is based within the Retail Property Management Team in the Birmingham office, though the individual will be required to travel on occasion to other UK offices and to properties.

Job Description

Investment Property Management (IPM) provides commercial property management services to a wide range of clients from institutional funds to private investors on a full range of property asset classes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, creative and driven individual to assist us in exploiting commercialisation opportunities to achieve additional revenue streams from our managed retail portfolio, establish customer satisfaction levels and associated action plans, create and delivery engagement strategies with ESG focus through a range of media in addition to providing property management support to the retail team.

This role would suit an individual interested in pursuing a career in marketing or commercial property management through an apprenticeship route.

Main job purpose:

To identify and negotiate opportunities to create additional income streams at managed  retail sites through direct partnerships with companies to exploit opportunities for promotions, concessions, merchandising units, vending machines, advertising and potential sponsorship.

To liaise with our customer experience team to devise, implement and action customer engagement surveys with our retailers to ensure our managed portfolio is continually striving to improve and enhance managed assets.

 To provide support to the retail team in the day to day management of properties including day to day property management, reporting and marketing of sites through digital media.

Key responsibilities:

· Identify, negotiate and implement commercialisation opportunities in conjunction with Surveyors.

· Build a database of suppliers, key service partners, commercially & locally for commercialisation & community engagement initiatives

· Design and lead Retail surveys to collate data as required, measure and report.

· Supporting Retail team on marketing initiatives onsite including managing budgets, overseeing social media channels and content creating where appropriate.  

· Assisting the Property Management team in departmental initiatives, such as blogs, case studies, events, pitches and company events

· Liaising with external commercial PR, Events and creative partners on managed assets

· In house marketing function, supporting the centre management team with social media and event management planning

· Maintaining Websites and keeping content up to date on selected sites

· Implement social value initiatives in line with the Colliers IPM Social Value Framework

· Work with Property Manager and Retail Letting Agents to promote the vacant space at the scheme

· Collating Case studies to be used in pitches and client events, internally and externally at managed sites as an examples service delivery.

· Contribute to drafting retail articles and blogs promoting successes.

· Press release drafting

· Social media management & content creation

· Assisting with ad-hoc departmental projects

· Any other task that may reasonably be required.

Qualifications

Required skills:

·  Must be educated to minimum A-Level standard or equivalent

·  A confident negotiator with a creative innovative flair to identify opportunities and strategies to take forward.

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products and social media applications and how to utilise in a business environment.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Able to effectively priorities responsibilities, manage own time and meet deadlines

· Proactive approach and able to work on own initiative

· Effective team player who must be able to work as part of a team and carry out instructions

· Conscientious approach with excellent attention to detail

· Ability to challenge the status quo

· Ability to both devise and work to a marketing strategy

· Able to edit and use wordpress or similar website providers

·  Able to take an active and/or management type role over the marketing activity dependant on site need and budget

· Driving licence - desirable
