Job Description
Colliers is looking for a Lenders Independent Engineer (LIE) to independently monitor project progress, costs, quality, and risks on behalf of lenders and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project designs, drawings, specifications, and statutory approvals
- Assess constructability, project scope, and technical risks
- Review schedules, budgets, BOQs, and cost estimates
- Conduct site inspections and verify physical progress
- Monitor compliance with approved schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Review variations, claims, and contractor/developer bills
- Track risks, delays, contingency usage, and cost overruns
- Reconcile disbursements and validate cost/cashflow reports
- Prepare lender monitoring reports and drawdown certificates
Preferred candidate profile
- 3-5 years' experience in real estate projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost management
- Understanding of bylaws, NBC, NFPA, RPwD
- Prior experience in project monitoring or technical advisory preferred
- Excellent reporting and communication skills

Qualifications
Bachelors in civil engineering / construction management / architecture
