Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction.
Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a Graduate Project Engineer in Melbourne. This is a newly created role due to strong organic growth. You will have the backing of over 520 experts nationally and tasked with delivering high profile land development projects and achieve client commitments and build client advocacy and confidence.
Specifically:
Support project delivery across land development projects, assisting from due diligence through to development application, coordination of designs and contract administration under guidance
Assist with stakeholder coordination, including liaising with clients, authorities and consultants to support project approvals and deliverables
Develop and maintain relationships with internal project teams and contribute to building positive client interactions
Provide support to Project and Senior Engineers with workload planning and project deliverables
Contribute to project outcomes by supporting efficient delivery, quality documentation and adherence to timelines
Assist in identifying risks and escalate issues appropriately while developing sound professional judgement
Participate in learning and development opportunities, building technical capability and understanding of project delivery
Support the wider team, including collaboration, knowledge sharing and contributing to a positive team environment
Assist with project financial tracking (e.g. budgets, forecasting, utilisation) under supervision, developing commercial awareness
Qualifications
Demonstrated understanding of project delivery fundamentals, with exposure to different stages of engineering projects (placements, internships or coursework experience in land development advantageous)
Emerging project coordination and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Foundational commercial awareness, including an understanding of budgets, costs and project risks, with the willingness to develop in this area
Interest in the engineering and property industry, with a proactive approach to staying informed and engaged
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (or nearing completion)
